HOW DO I ENTER THE TEXAS BEAUTIES OF AMERICA PAGEANT?
Simply fill out the on line
application and e-mail it back. Upon
acceptance, you will receive an e-mail telling you what the next
steps are.
WHAT DIVISION AM I ELIGIBLE FOR?
- There are five different
divisions in the Texas Beauties of America Pageant. They
are:
Beauties
of America – Texas Teen: Must be at least 13 and
no older than 19 by August 1, 2009. Contestants must
be single, never married, not pregnant, never been pregnant
and never given birth to a child.
- Beauties
of America – Texas 20s: Must be at least 20 and no
older than 29 by August 1, 2009. She may be single, married,
widowed or divorced. She may or may not have children.
- Beauties
of America – Texas 30s: Must be at least 30 and no
older than 39 by August 1, 2009. She may be single, married,
widowed or divorced. She may or may not have children.
- Beauties
of America – Texas 40s: Must be at least 40 and no
older than 49 by August 1, 2009. She may be single, married,
widowed or divorced. She may or may not have children.
- Beauties
of America – Texas 50s & Up: Must be at least
50 by August 1, 2009. She may be single, married, widowed
or divorced. She may or may not have children.
WHAT IS THE DEADLINE FOR THE TEXAS BEAUTIES OF AMERICA
PAGEANT?
MAY 15 , 2009: All entry fees must be paid
in full by this date. No exceptions. Required and
optional paperwork as well as all photos and advertisements must
also be received by this date. All pre-ordered tickets and program
books, pre-ordered photo and DVD packages.

WHAT IS THE ENTRY FEE FOR THE TEXAS BEAUTIES OF
AMERICA PAGEANT?
The 2009 Texas Beauties
of America pageant entry fee is $550.00. This
entry fee includes:
- Participation
in the pageant
- Official
local crown and sash
- Handbook
and paperwork
- Arrival
night dinner and meals related to pageant events
- Copy
of 2009 Pageant Program book
- ½ page
color ad in the 2009 Pageant Program book
- Gift
bag
Entry fee does not include:
- Hotel
accommodations in host hotel (each contestant is required to
stay in host hotel)
- Travel & personal
expenses
- Opening
production and competition wardrobe
- Additional
program book advertisements
- Meals
not related to pageant events
WHO PAYS MY ENTRY FEE?
Delegates may pay the entire
fee themselves, or may seek sponsors to help defray the cost
of competing. If using sponsors,
be sure to mention them in your ½ page ad.
WHAT ARE MY PAYMENT OPTIONS?
Each delegate is required
to pay a $175.00 deposit with the application, if accepted. The balance can be made in payments
or in full. A delegate’s crown and sash will be ordered
after payment has been received in full at the
state office. Payments may be made by PayPal, cashiers
check, money order, business check, or Visa, however there will
be a 10% service fee added to all credit/debit card transactions. NO
PERSONAL CHECKS ACCEPTED.

IF I DO NOT COMPETE IN THE PAGEANT AFTER ENTERING
AND PAYING FEES, CAN I RECEIVE A REFUND?
Texas Beauties of America
does not refund nor transfer any fees paid to participate in
the pageant. This
includes, but is not limited to, entry fees, ad page fees,
tickets purchased, etc.
WHAT PRIZES CAN QUEENS AND AWARD WINNERS RECEIVE?
The prizes can be found
under the Prizes section of the website. It
is update on an ongoing basis, so please check the section periodically.
DO I HAVE TO SELL PROGRAM BOOK ADVERTISEMENTS?
Each delegate receives a ½ page color ad in the program
book. Delegates are not required to sell program book advertisements. However
the pageant offers the Program Appreciation Award for the delegate
who sells the most program book advertisements. Delegates
must sell more than two full page ads to qualify for this award. This
award will only be given to one delegate; a tie will not be recognized. All
additional ads are full page color ads and sell for $300.00. No
other ad sizes are available.
Delegates are not required to participate in this award and
it has no bearing on the outcome of the pageant.
IF I WIN ONE OF THE TITLES AM I REQUIRED TO MAKE
APPEARANCES?
It is important to give ‘time’ to your community. It
is also important to promote the Texas Beauties of America pageant. Therefore,
each winner is required to make at least one appearance a month. If
you are awarded one of the titles you will receive more information
about this in your contract.
