Meet the Titleholders
 
 
Alexandra Ahmadi

Alexandra is a former Miss San Antonio Teen USA 2007. She graduated from the New York Film Academy studying broadcast journalism. In 2013, Alexandra landed her first TV co-hosting job on Talk Now SA. She is currently working as a professional model while continuing to pursue her television career. Alexandra placed top 15 and swim suit finalist at the Miss Texas USA 2014 pageant.

What three words best describe you?
Passionate, loyal, humorous.

Who would you most like to meet and why?
I would love to meet Oprah Winfrey, I've always admired her. I would love to ask her what motivates her and how she balances her professional/ work life.

What do you like to do for fun?
The Gym is my playground! I love experimenting with new exercises. I practice yoga and weight train weekly. I've also been trained by professionals in the boxing ring!

What is your proudest moment?
I had to opportunity to share the bright lights and stage with some really amazing artist and handed out all the awards at the Latin Grammy's!

What is the best advice you've ever received?
“The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, nor to worry about the future, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly.” -My best friend shared this quote with me. I remind myself this every day.

What is the funniest thing that's ever happened to you?
I was fifteen years old and was walking in my first show at LA fashion week. I walked out on stage and my dress got stuck to the wall. As I walked down the runway, the dress kept stretching. I was mortified! As embarrassing as it was, I really can laugh at myself and the situation now!

What's your favorite type of music?
I have a wide range. House, rap and some Rod Stewart and Cher! Anything that gets me moving!

What is the best book you've ever read?
My Sisters Keeper, by Jodi Picoult

What charitable organization do you enjoy volunteering with?
Humane Society, Leukemia Lymphoma Society

If there was a reality show about your life what would the title be?
Keeping up with the Ahmadi's.

What accomplishment in your life are you most proud of?
Moving to New York City, and graduating from the New York Film Academy.

Who or what motivates you and why?
My mother is my hero and my motivation! She's living proof that anything is possible no matter what the odds are.

What's your favorite midnight snack?
The healthy me loves cottage cheese and pomegranate!
The not so healthy me loves ice cream and candy!

 
Alayah Benavidez

Alayah currently attends Northwest Vista College where she majors in Psychology and hopes to become a Family and Marriage Therapist one day. Although her schedule stays pretty busy, Alayah enjoys spending time volunteering for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Knots of Hope, Muscular Dystrophy Association and the San Antonio Food Bank. Alayah was awarded 2nd runner up and Most Photogenic at the Miss Texas Teen USA 2014 pageant.

What three words best describe you?
Tenacious, optimistic, personable.

Who would you most like to meet and why?
I would love to meet Carrie Underwood; she's such a strong and beautiful woman with wonderful morals who doesn't let fame change who she really is.

What do you like to do for fun?
I love to spend time with my family, when we get together we always think of something fun to do.

What is your proudest moment?
When my peers voted me Best Dressed two years in a row! I worked really hard to make sure I always looked my best so to have my peer’s award me with that title made me feel so blessed.

What is the best advice you've ever received?
To always do what you think is right, even if you're moving against the tide.

What is the funniest thing that's ever happened to you?
When I was younger, I saw my parents in the back yard and they called me outside. Thinking the door was open I ran as fast as my little legs could take me only to run face first into the screen door, breaking it and falling on my butt... but I jumped right back on my feet and walked away even though I was pretty embarrassed... looking back it was pretty funny!!

What's your favorite type of music?
Country

What is the best book you've ever read?
The Fault in Our Stars, it shows that you always have to find the silver lining in even the worst times.

What charitable organization do you enjoy volunteering with?
Muscular Dystrophy Association

If there was a reality show about your life what would the title be?
Where Beauty Finds It’s Place

What accomplishment in your life are you most proud of?
Being on the honor roll all of high school, it showed that hard work really does pay off.

Who or what motivates you and why?
My grandpa motivates me, he used to always tell me to do everything to the best of my abilities and I would hate to have ever disappointed him.

What's your favorite midnight snack?
Fresh strawberries and whipped cream... yumm, my favorite snack.
