to participate in the MISS SAN ANTONIO TEXAS & MISS SAN
ANTONIO TEXAS TEEN pageants!
THE PAGEANT can be exciting and entertaining for you and
any of your family and friends who attend. It will be a very
memorable experience, and could lead to new opportunities in
your life. The winners receive a prize package and the
opportunity to compete in the 2013 MISS TEXAS USA and MISS
TEXAS TEEN USA pageants!
The pageant is designed to be an excellent vehicle for advancing
your career and personal goals. Training and personal
development sessions are included in the entry fee and are
designed to help delegates prepare for the pageants and for
life! It will be a time of personal growth and maturity that is
priceless!
Diverse Dreams has had numerous finalists and semi finalists at
the state level. Although it is not a requirement, participation
in a local pageant prior to competing at the state level can be
very beneficial. Additionally, if you win the local pageant your
entry fee to the 2013 MISS TEXAS USA or 2013 MISS TEXAS TEEN
USA pageants is covered!
BECOME A DELEGATE TODAY! If you live or attend school in
the following counties you are eligible to compete in the Miss
San Antonio Texas or Miss San Antonio Texas Teen pageant:
Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe,
Gonzales, Kendall, Kerr, Lavaca, Medina & Wilson. In addition,
you must be single, never married, never given birth to a child
and a United States citizen between the ages of 14 – 26!
Specific age requirements are below:
TEEN
At least 14 and under 19 years of age on February 1, 2013 –
i.e., you must be born from February 2, 1994 to February 1,
1999.
MISS
At least 18 and under 27 as of February 1, 2013 – i.e., you
must be born from February 2, 1986 to February 1, 1995.
AWARDS are part of the pageant experience. The winners’
prize package includes their entry fee to the 2013 MISS TEXAS
USA or 2013 MISS TEXAS TEEN USA state competitions. Additional
awards will be presented in the Miss and Teen divisions to: Best
in Swimsuit, Best in Evening Gown, Miss Congeniality, Miss
Photogenic, Prettiest Smile and Peoples’ Choice.
PAGEANT COMPETITION is based on three categories:
Interview, Physical Fitness in Swimsuit and Evening Gown. The
judges will be looking for an all around winner. The winners may
not score the highest in any one category of competition yet she
will score high in all categories possessing intelligence,
personality, poise and beauty. There is no talent competition
and no experience is necessary.
WARDROBE – each delegate is required to provide her own
wardrobe:
1. Personal Interview – you should wear a fashion forward
outfit. A good guide line would be to ask yourself what you
would wear for a press conference, television interview or a
luncheon held in your honor. Shoes should be classic and
sophisticated. You should wear minimal jewelry and ‘daytime’
makeup. Your hair should be clean and well groomed. Business
attire is not mandatory. No hats, scarves or gloves permitted.
2. Opening Production Number – Teen Contestants: Yellow
blouse (any shade), black straight leg slacks (no denim). Silver
hoop earrings. Silver strappy heels (keep it simple, no
acrylics, nude or gold shoes). Miss Contestants: Purple
blouse (any shade), black straight leg slacks (no denim). Silver
hoop earrings. Silver strappy heels (keep it simple, no
acrylics, nude or gold shoes). Keep your expenses down; you may
already have a yellow or purple blouse and black straight let
slacks in your wardrobe or know someone who may let you borrow
the items. You will not be judged in the opening production
number.
3. Swimsuit – Teen Contestants: wear a PINK (any
shade), conservatively cut, two piece, solid color
swimsuit. Miss Contestants: wear a RED (any
color), conservatively cut, two piece, solid color
swimsuit. No string bikinis or French cut bottoms allowed. Metal
type fasteners are acceptable. No trim color.
No metallic, sequin or velvet materials/fabrics. No rhinestones.
Avoid excess cleavage enhancement. Your swimsuit must be
approved by Diverse Dreams by February 1, 2012. You will use the
same silver hoop earrings and silver strappy heels from opening
number. Remember, you will wear these shoes for opening number
and swimsuit; the heel should not be higher than 4 inches.
4. Evening Gown – there are no specific requirements regarding
the evening gown. All types of gowns are permitted. The gown
should fit you well and compliment your own coloring, physical
features and age. Shoes and jewelry should compliment your
evening gown.
PHOTOS – each delegate will need to provide 1 – 5 x 7
color head shot photo via email in a jpeg format at a 300 dpi,
printed vertically. This should be a head or head and shoulders
photo, no hats, scarves or other accessories (other than
earrings). Each contestant will also need to provide 1 – 8.5 x
11 full length color photo via email in a jpeg format at a 300
dpi, printed vertically. These two photos should be professional
quality color photos and will be used for the program book,
judge’s notebooks and/or the website.
PROGRAM BOOK AD PAGES – You have the option of purchasing
full page ads in the program book for $300.00 each. Ad pages can
be valuable tools to help you recruit sponsors. These pages may
be laid out however you like within design specifications. They
should include your name and a photo of you (subject to
approval) with sponsors information or wording of your choice
(also subject to approval). Once you become a contestant, you
will receive sample ads with your Contestant Handbook.
ENTRY FEE – the entry fee is $495.00 (payment options
available) and includes three training sessions. It also helps
cover some of the pageant expenses, such as the Pageant venue,
advertising, music, administrative expenses, and many other
expenses involved in producing a pageant of this caliber.
Payments can be made by PayPal, Money Order or Business Checks
made payable to Diverse Dreams, LLC. No personal checks are
allowed.
GETTING STARTED – to become a delegate you need to follow
these directions carefully. Complete the Entry Form and Entry
Affidavit. It must be typed or hand printed legibly. Select a
recent photo and print your name on the back of it. This photo
is for our records only; it does not need to be professional and
will not be returned to you. Mail the above items and a $200.00
deposit to the address below. Once we have received and approved
your entry, you will become an official delegate in the 2012
MISS SAN ANTONIO TEXAS or MISS SAN ANTONIO TEXAS TEEN
pageant and receive more paperwork and information.
YOUR non-refundable $200.00 deposit must be paid in order
to receive your Contestant Confirmation Letter and Sponsor
Letter (if you are not accepted as a contestant your deposit
will be returned). Your Contestant Handbook contains more
competition information and will be e-mailed to you when your
entry fee is paid in full. Delegate number is limited therefore
contestants are accepted on a first come basis. Get your entry
form and deposit in today!

We are looking for young ladies who want to represent their
community, city and state. Delegates should understand that
there is a responsibility to the pageant system, sponsors,
community and the state of Texas. Delegates will instantly
become role models simply by competing in the pageant. This can
be a wonderful experience with memories to last a lifetime!
