The
newly crowned MISS SAN ANTONIO TEEN USA 2006 is Amanda
Newman. Amanda is 16 years old and stands 5 feet 8 inches
tall, with green eyes and dark blonde hair. She is a
student at New Braunfels High School. She would like
to attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising
in preparation for a career in fashion design. Amanda
enjoys apparel designing, tennis, and water skiing. She
wants to continue promoting her platform; Inner Beauty
- Outer Confidence. Amanda is a Published Poet, Honor
Student, Member of Young Life, Volunteer for the Key
Club, a member of the National Junior Honor Society and
a Co-Host of a Local T.V. Show. She also designed a stage
and sound system. Amanda will represent San Antonio in
the statewide MISS TEXAS TEEN USA pageant which will
be held in Houston, Texas on Sunday, November 26, 2006.
