2011 Beauties of America Titleholders

Denise Gunnoe -- Beauties of America 20s

After graduating from Texas State University in 2005, Denise began her career as a media consultant, currently working for her local CBS affiliate.

Denise began participating in pageants in 2007. Beauties of America was the third pageant she participated in and fully made her a believer that the third time is a charm.

In addition to pageantry, she enjoys cooking, painting, spending time in the hill country and with her Boston Terriers, Bailey and Cooper.

Elisa Rister -- Beauties of America 30s

Elisa enjoys pageantry and feels it helps women of all ages build self confidence, goal setting and community involvement. Her goal as 2011 America's 30 is to continue to inspire confidence in women and promote the importance of volunteering within your community. She is a long time supporter of the Southern Arizona Chapter of Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation and as America's 30 Elisa will continue to promote her platform of Breast Cancer Awareness and early detection methods, as well a working with many other local charities.

Elisa is married to her best friend Ret. Air Force TSgt. Timothy "TJ" Rister and is a proud mom to her 13 year old son Alex. She has worked as a Certified Dental Assistant for the past 5 years. In her spare time you can find her camping, fishing and enjoying the outdoors exploring historical sites all over AZ with her family, cheering on her son at the baseball field or in a fun Zumba class.

She is proud to be the 2011 Beauties of America 30's titleholder and hopes to be a positive role model for all women.

Carolyn Ladd -- Beauties of America 40s

Carolyn Ladd is an employment attorney whose practice focuses on compliance with civil rights laws. Carolyn received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Washington. She remains an enthusiastic Husky sports fan. She received a Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon School of Law. She also has a Master of Laws (Labor Law) from Georgetown University. She published an article entitled “Medical Marijuana and the Workplace” in the April 2011 issue of The ACC Docket: The Journal of the Association of Corporate Counsel. Washington Law & Politics Magazine has selected Carolyn as a "Super Lawyer" since 2004.

Carolyn traveled to Ghana, West Africa to teach English to first graders with Global Volunteers. After she returned to the U.S., she partnered with Books for Africa to ship 25,000 books to school children in Ghana. She has taken previous “volunteer vacations” to the Blue Mountains of Jamaica andTanzania, East Africa. Town & Country Magazine featured her international volunteer work in an article in its June 2005 edition. Carolyn sponsors a child in the Dominican Republic through World Vision and is making plans to visit him in 2012.

She is honored to represent women in their 40s as Beauties of America 40s. She hopes to use her title to inspire other mid-life women to follow their dreams.

Deanna Bebeau -- Beauties of America 50s

Beauties of America 50s 2011 is Deanna Bebeau from Oregon.

Deanna is married to Bud and even after 17 years of marriage she still refers to him as her “Prince Charming”. She and her husband are the proud parents of a professional actress, a Deputy Sheriff and an Army soldier (she gets a kick out of letting everyone know that “yes, my daughter wears combat boots!). Bud and Deanna also share their home with five very spoiled furr-babies; Kix, Reba, Igor, Precious and Gizmo!

She is an avid Oregon Ducks fan and enjoys attending as many games as their schedules allow. Deanna is also very involved with her community by helping with organizations such as the S.M.A.R.T. reading program, United Way, and the American Cancer Society.

Deanna wishes to dedicate her year to her passion for the organization, Relay for Life. After witnessing the look of accomplishment on her mother’s face, who is a two-time breast cancer survivor, as she completed the “Survivor Lap” at a local Relay for Life event while still undergoing chemotherapy, Deanna has made raising the awareness of this important fundraising event a top priority.

Being crowned Beauties of America 50s, Deanna hopes to be an inspiration to all women that you are never too old to follow your dreams and that the confidence and wisdom that comes through age is TRUE BEAUTY!

Christy Passoth -- Beauties of America 60s

Christy Passoth is 2012 Beauties of America 60s. Making a difference is very important to Christy, whether it is in the class room where she teaches language arts to seventh graders, rendering community service through the program she established over eleven years ago, "Books for Babes", fundraising for breast cancer, prostate cancer, March of Dimes, or working at the Salvation Army's after-school program for children. As well as being a great mother and wife, thinking of and working with others is an important part of her life. She has three children, Jennifer - 28; Kimberly - 27, and Bryan - 18.

Her hobbies include raising prize-winning African violets, orchids, and several rose gardens. She loves to originate and design memory books and chronicle her children's lives; currently having put together over 100 photo albums and scrapbooks.

Winning Beauties of America was a big honor and privilege. Christy was 2000 Beauties of America’s 50s titleholder. Literacy and breast cancer awareness are two of her favorite causes and during her reign she plans to make many appearances for the foundations and programs with which they are affiliated.
